Η πολιτική σημασία της Εύας ήταν πάντα αμφίσημη. Για πολλούς η Εύα δημιούργησε τον ανθρώπινο πολιτισμό με την τεκνοποιία της και για άλλους τον κατέστρεψε, με την σφοδρή επιθυμία της για το κόκκινο μήλο. Ίσως μικρή σημασία να έχει το παραπάνω δίλλημα σε αντίθεση με το πόση είναι η αξία του μήλου. Για πολλούς σήμερα το μήλο κοστίζει τα δισεκατομμύρια ευρώ των κρατών της Ευρωζώνης και όχι μόνο. Για πολλούς επίσης κοστίζει τα δισεκατομμύρια ευρώ του κουρέματος των τραπεζών και δη των ελληνικών. Ίσως και αυτό να έχει μικρή σημασία καθώς το σημαντικότερο πάντα θα είναι να βρίσκεται στη συνέχεια ο Αδάμ που θα κόψει το μήλο και κυριότερα η ευχαρίστηση της Εύας…The political significance of Eve was always ambiguous.
