A female white whale became a mother for the first time on Wednesday, giving birth to a baby whale (calf) at an aquarium in central China after five hours in labour. Members of the staff at Changsha Underwater World in the Hunan Province said it was the first time that a white whale gave birth at an aquarium in China.
