ΒΒ: The Swiss Work Harder Than Anyone in the EU

The average full-time worker in Switzerland spent 42 hours and 48 minutes on the job each week, longer than any country in the European Union, according to the Swiss Federal Statistics Office. The lightest workload? France, where the average workweek is 37 hours and 36 minutes. President Emmanuel Macron is trying to reform the labor code. But one area that’s not up for discussion is his country’s 35-hour work week, which has been weakened enough over the years that it’s no longer seen as a priority.
