Seasonally adjusted government deficit up to 1.7% of GDP in the euro area - Slight increase to 1.9% of GDP in the EU28

In the third quarter of 2016, the seasonally adjusted general government deficit to GDP ratio stood at 1.7% in the euro area (EA19), an increase compared with 1.5% in the second quarter of 2016. In the EU28, the deficit to GDP ratio stood at 1.9%, a slight increase compared with 1.8% in the previous quarter.
