Italy took over the Presidency of the European Council from Greece on 1 July. Lénaïc Vaudin d’Imécourt is joined by Stefano Sannino, Italy’s Permanent Representative to the European Union, to discuss the priorities of the Italian Presidency.
According to Sannino, kicking-off the Italian Presidency just after the European elections represents a great opportunity to reshape the reform agenda for growth and jobs. And this will be Italy’s top priority for the next six months, Italy’s Permanent Representative explains. Competitiveness, climate and energy, as well as migration are also high on the Italian presidency’s agenda.
