EURONEWS: First images of Taranis drone successful maiden fligh, UK-built unmanned aircraft

 

Credit: BAE Systems. The UK's Ministry of Defense announced on February 5 that its Taranis unmanned combat aircraft had surpassed expectations in tests. The MOD said the Taranis, designed by BAE Systems, was "the most advanced aircraft ever built by British engineers" and that its maiden flight, on August 10, 2013, had involved a perfect take-off, rotation, 'climb-out' and landing. This footage of the test flight was released on February 5.
