BLOOMBERG: Expect Yuan to Appreciate 1.5% This Year

May 4 (Bloomberg) -- Kelvin Lau, an economist at Standard Chartered Plc in Hong Kong, talks about the outlook for the Chinese yuan following the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue currently taking place in Beijing. U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner said at the start of talks yesterday "a stronger, more market-determined" exchange rate is important to refocus China's economy on domestic demand. Lau speaks with Susan Li on Bloomberg Television's "First Up."
