Όταν δημιουργήθηκαν τα έθνη κράτη στις αρχές του 19ου αιώνα χρειάστηκαν όλοι οι λαοί να νιώσουν κάποιες αξίες για να αισθανθούν ενωμένοι. Έτσι αναδείχθηκε και στην Ελλάδα η ιστορία, η θρησκεία, τα ήθη και έθιμα μας. Όλες αυτές οι αξίες που ναι μεν τα τελευταία χρόνια χάθηκαν στη χώρα μας αλλά παρέμειναν χαραγμένα στους άλλους λαούς της Ευρώπης. Τώρα όμως όλοι κουράστηκαν και ο πολιτικός εξευτελισμός της χώρας τόσο στο εσωτερικό όσο και στο εξωτερικό προσωποποιείται. Μετά την ιστορική βραδιά των Καννών ήρθε και η ώρα των άλλων. Τα λεφτά είναι πάνω στο τραπέζι και κάτω από αυτό τα σκουπίδια. Δύο είναι οι επιλογές για τον ελληνικό λαό. Είτε υπογραφή, χρήματα και μισθοί με συντάξεις στο τέλος κάθε μήνα είτε σκουπίδια στην άκρη του δρόμου. Η ιστορία τους γράφει όλους, τόσο τον Περικλή όσο και τον Νέρωνα. Όπως λένε και οι ξένοι «at the end you just take it or leave it» …
